Safe and Sound Denver Said The Amendment will remove buffer zones between schools and community corrections facilities. The Amendment will allow new 1-10 person, 24/7 homeless shelters in all neighborhoods, with no buffer from schools.
City Council & CPD Said
This is misleading. Existing laws already allow shelters of up to 100 people for 120 days/year, in residential areas, without buffers from schools.
